Paramedic

Paramedic practitioners work independently within their scope of practice in the community, using their enhanced clinical assessment and treatment skills, to assess and manage patients presenting with acute presentations which include minor illness or injury, abdominal pains, chest pains and headaches.

A qualified HCPC registered Paramedic or Nurse, who has at least 2 years operational experience in acute assessment skills. They will be working towards completing their two level 7 modules in Advanced clinical practice – Minor injury/Minor illness. They have a range of competencies and abilities to undertake assessment and can report back their findings to a primary care clinician (Specialist paramedic or GP) this includes acute home visiting assessment.

Indicative Salary

NHS: AfC Band 7

Reimbursement by GP contract

100% of actual salary plus defined on-costs, up to the maximum reimbursable amount of £63,792 over 12 months.
